Why you should resort to medicine when you’re sick

3

There’s a difference when it comes to being stubborn and being prudent. And when it comes to taking medicines and drugs to help you get better at the soonest possible time, it’s important for you to be actually taking your medicine at the proper time and at the proper dosage so you can get better. Don’t think that you don’t need to have medicine to make your body better. This is actually quite a common misconception that most people have when it comes to getting sick. Some people just literally wait it out until it goes away, and they feel better. Sure, this might work for a common cold or a cough, but these are just two common illnesses in a world where there are literally dozens of illnesses that can get you. Can you imagine riding out your illness if you have been diagnosed with something like gout? That would result in complications and writhing pain that could literally render you incapacitated. If you took medicine for it, you could have avoided all this while getting immediate relief. Don’t be stubborn into thinking that you don’t need medicine. You need medicine, and it’s especially so because you are susceptible to getting sick. No matter how strong or how healthy you may feel, you can get sick. Being stubborn has a whole lot of consequences, and it varies to a few more days of getting sick to more serious things like complications wherein your infection would cause another illness other than the one you have.
