Restarting the mind and body should not be a task that is done at the start of each new year, instead it should be a part of daily life. Here are 4 ways to refresh the new year.
Reset your problem-solving skills- Most people may find that when they are faced with a problem, they almost always reduce physical activity and stay wallowing internally. When faced with your next problem, push yourself to go outside and take a walk/run. Just heading out and doing an activity that doesn’t involve thinking, will help you reassess the problem and soon find the best solution.
Reset your anxious thoughts – Meditation has been known to provide a list of benefits, from better sleep, a brighter mood, to a stronger immune system. A meditation practice is your gym workout for your brain and a 10 minute session can leave you refreshed and ready to face the day.
Reset your vices – Most of us have many vices, from drinking excess caffeine, smoking, to eating too much fast food. Cutting vices for as little as 7 days, has shown many benefits from cutting out the substance totally to limiting it.
Reset your diet – Doing an entire diet overhaul, can be daunting for most, instead choose to add one healthy habit for a 7 day period. For example, you could include a daily green smoothie as your breakfast replacement.
